For flat-bar and strip enquiries, we assess grade, dimensions and production route together. Rolled, drawn and plate-cut starting stock do not share identical acceptance conditions.

Availability depends on grade and dimensions. Tolerance, surface, delivery condition and certificate requirements must be confirmed in the quotation.
Flat bar versus cut plate
Two pieces with the same outside dimensions can come from different routes. Edge condition, corner radius, flatness and rolling direction affect the final part. If plate cutting is requested, state whether the cut edge needs subsequent machining.
Describe strip and flat-bar needs
A long assembly member and a short machining blank have different tolerance priorities. State width and thickness clearly, then add length, quantity and finish. Spring or forming applications also need a defined delivery hardness.
