PRECISION IN MATERIAL. CLARITY IN SUPPLY.

MATERIAL GROUP

Titanium and titanium alloys

Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and Ti-6Al-4V ELI. Explore titanium options for forming, corrosion and specific-strength requirements.

Grade numbers are not a quality ranking

Commercially pure Grades 1–4 differ in the balance of strength and forming. Grade 5 has an alloyed structure, while palladium-bearing Grade 7 addresses different process environments. A higher number should therefore not be read as a universally better material.

How to define an ELI requirement

State the required specification and UNS identity for Ti-6Al-4V ELI. Standard Grade 5 and the extra-low-interstitial variant are different purchasing descriptions. An alloy name alone is insufficient for medical use; product and application requirements need separate verification.
