2205, 2507, S32760, 329 and 255 options. Assess strength and corrosion requirements with welding, temperature and the product specification.
What duplex grades share
The balance of ferritic and austenitic phases influences final behaviour. A super duplex designation does not make a material a universal replacement for every duplex grade. Chemistry, product specification and final fabrication condition are assessed together.
Welding and inspection requirements
Valve bar stock and welded process pipe follow different manufacturing routes. Welding procedures, phase balance and corrosion testing are defined for the project. State the required UNS identity, service medium and inspection conditions in the order.
