Describe chloride service in detail

Super duplex 2507 is considered for more demanding localised corrosion conditions. Temperature, flow, gasket crevices, deposits and fluid retained during shutdown affect performance. Composition indicators such as PREN support preliminary comparison but do not independently define service life or a safe operating limit.

State product form and test scope

Specify 1.4410 / S32750 together with the required bar or forging specification. Define welding procedure, supplied condition and any special corrosion or phase testing in the enquiry. Substitution with another super duplex grade should not be based solely on similar application lists.

Typical application areas

Seawater systems, chemical processes, offshore equipment.
